She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that’s best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes;
She Walks In Beauty – Lord Byron (George Gordon)
I did this portrait in 1989 in charcoal pencil. I always loved drawing Catherine. She has such a classic beauty and exudes an aura of strength and emotional depth that was exciting to try to capture. I adore her as a character, and as all of us who love her know, she’s definitely more than just a pretty face! – Heather M.
We are so lucky to have such wonderful artists in this fandom. Thank-you, Heather, for this beautiful portrait of Catherine, and thank you for allowing Ever-fixed Mark to host your Winterfest Submission.
